Is Indonesia’s Film/TV content industry “lacking creativity?”

The market size of the Film/TV content industry in Indonesia is said to be 256 billion yen (Digital Content Association of Japan, 2012), and although the scale is relatively small among other ASIAN giant, it is expected to grow at a rate of around 9 percent rate per year (Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry, 2014). That is why many foreign media-related industries see their business opportunity with a good chance of growing. Today president Rieko Shofu speaks to Syarika Bralini, who has long been working in the field of film/TV program production industry, about her view on current situation of the industry and her challenges to empower creative breakthrough in this industry.

Business Education in Philippines

The network event with business school and university professors in the Philippines presented by Japanese Marketing Association(JMA) and Philippines Marketing Association (PMA) was held in March 2015 in Tokyo. All countries in ASEAN has made various efforts to ASEAN Integration. This event was focused on Business education in Filipino universities. Most of attendees were not only professors, but also they belong to PMA. Thus the main topics in this event was what kind of educational approaches they can do for ASEAN Integration.
